Only three days after finishing a recent IPA training program in Zurich, IPA student Angus Johnston, 16, was straight into playing the National Championships.
Angus' team managed to beat much more experienced lineups during the championships, finishing runners-up from ten entrants over six days of polo.
According to the young player, IPA has helped him to strengthen his skills: “Following the guidance and tuition from the IPA’s incredible coaches I had a lot more ability, both tactically and physically, to take away with me from the course.”
The talented Englishman went on to play and win his first -1 Goal tournament at White Rose Polo Club, close to his home in Yorkshire.
Johnston's succesful season continued with two 0-Goal tournaments at Kirtlington Park in Oxfordshire -at the latter of which he scored all of his team's goals.
IPA will continue to follow Johnston's progress.
